Planning Commission Planning Commission The Planning Commission is an advisory body to the Clayton City Council and reviews various development proposals. The Commission consists of five members appointed by the Mayor with the approval of the City Council. All Commissioners must be registered voters and live within the City of Clayton. The term of office is two years and Commissioners may not serve more than eight consecutive years. The Commission meets on the second and fourth Tuesdays of each month in the Clayton Community Library Meeting Room at 6125 Clayton Road at 7:00 p.m. The locations of individual Commission meetings are occasionally changed.
